Our work is segmented into four core areas. Each area is further broken down into different programme areas. We want to ensure that various conflict triggers are being addressed with a bottom up approach. Our programme areas include:
- Security and Governance: the expected result in this area is improving conflict management mechanisms. NSRP is supporting efforts to promote broader societal participation and oversight of conflict management mechanisms at federal, state and local levels.
- Economic and Natural Resources: the expected result of this area is mitigating the key economic drivers of violent conflict. NSRP is supporting efforts to reduce grievances in selected localities around economic opportunities, environmental degradation and distribution of resources.
- Women and Girls: the expected result of this area is increasing participation of, and reducing violence against women and girls. NSRP is supporting efforts to increase influential participation by women and girls in institutions and initiatives relevant to peace building and reduce the prevalence and impact of violence against women and girls.
- Research, Media and Advocacy: the expected result of this area is improving conflict prevention policy and practice: NSRP is supporting efforts to ensure that research, media and advocacy have an increasingly positive influence on policy and practice relevant to stability and reconciliation in Nigeria.
